MARCHESCHI (FI) TRAMWAY: "SUSPEND THE REGION FUNDING REQUEST TO THE TOWN OF FLORENCE AND NOW THE INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS"

" Regional Councillor Paul Marcheschi Forza Italy continues its battle against the havoc that the tramway is not only Florence but throughout Italy, devastating the historic profile of a city symbol of our Country, presenting a new question to the Regional Centre to learn the status of art works.
"To add insult to injury risk - continued Marcheschi - why do not yet know the cost of Line 1 and have already begun work on lines 2 and 3, regardless of the will of the people who have called for a referendum.
To date there is no certainty of funding for the tramway, because of the costs that are brewing at an impressive rate.
after the fact of € 31.2 million granted by the Regional Municipality of Florence, there were considerable delays of schedule in the timetable for performing the work, as required by the tender procurement. In essence, the increase in costs appears to be estimated at 18 million € for the variations along the way proposed by the City and 56 million in "reserves", or unexpected increases in costs due to delays even Enterprise.
Marcheschi in the question presented in the Regional Council asks
1) if you have a total estimated cost of delays and who will fall or penalties
2) whether the Government intends to discontinue the payment of contributions since the projects of regional lines 2 and 3 even before the construction site of the work are subject to variations (new underpasses fortress etc..), which is now in place a referendum to be held in the coming months and that there is no final definition of the total cost of Line 2 and 3, then it is impossible to predict the total cost coverage
3) whether it is appropriate to intervene for the suspension of work at least until you have the certainty of coverage of the total cost of lines 2 and 3.
